When you create a READPLAY account we collect your name, email address, and the player profile details you provide during onboarding — such as date of birth, playing position, experience level, and development goals. As you train, we also record your session answers, XP, streaks, IQ scores, journal entries, and the calendar events you add. Parents who link to a player account provide their own email and the player's email so the accounts can be connected.

We use your data to personalise your training scenarios to your position and age group, track your Football IQ progress over time, show parents their linked child's development, send you session reminders and product updates, and keep the service secure. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

READPLAY is designed for players aged 9 to 17. We treat all youth player data with extra care: a parent or guardian must consent to a player under 16 using the platform and linking their account. We do not show youth players on any public leaderboard, we do not display real names or photos to other users, and we do not serve behavioural advertising to accounts flagged as minors. Parents can review or request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us.

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to personal records is restricted by row-level security so that a player only sees their own data and a linked parent only sees their child's data. Only authorised team members can access account data, and only when needed to operate or support the service.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can export or delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings, or by contacting us. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, sessions, answers, journal entries, and calendar events. Some anonymous, aggregated statistics may be retained to improve the product, but these can never identify you.
